The Leinster set to open on Dublin’s Merrion Square – Business Traveller

Dublin will welcome a new luxury hotel early next year, with the forthcoming opening of The Leinster. Located on the corner of Merrion Square (also home to the city’s Natural History Museum and National Gallery) the hotel is schedule to open in January. Features will include 55 rooms and suites, as well as a rooftop restaurant by French Michelin-starred chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, The Collins Club bar and supper club, and The O’Dwyer Suite event space. Interiors have been created by ODonnell O’Neill Design, with over 300 pieces of original painted art brought together by a botanical theme. Z Hotels to open Leicester Square property – Business Traveller

Z Hotels has announced plans for its 12th London property, located adjacent to Leicester Square. The group has secured a £23 million loan from OakNorth Bank and ASK Partners, to acquire and convert a five storey office building on Charing Cross Road into a hotel offering between 81 and 95 rooms. The news follows OakNorth’s recent provision of a loan to enable Z Hotels to expand its existing property in London’s Piccadilly district. Marriott adds Delta property close to New York’s Times Square – Business Traveller

Marriott has opened the latest US property under its Delta brand. Delta Hotels by Marriott New York Times Square is located at 340 West 40th Street, around half a mile from the city’s famous intersection. An existing property has been refurbished to offer 310 rooms with platform beds, a lounge area and free wifi, as well as facilities including a lobby bar, George’s Nephew restaurant and a fitness centre. There is also a 24-hour Delta Pantry, where Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members can choose from complimentary continental breakfast items, premium beverages and snacks. Hilton is set to open its second property under its lifestyle micro-hotel brand Motto by Hilton in New York on 25 September, located in Manhattan’s lively Times Square. The 400-room Motto by Hilton New York City Times Square tower is located on 48th Street, steps from 41 Broadway theatres and close to tourist attractions including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Center. Design elements will include modern lines, a warm colour palette and headboards mimicking the city skyline with curves and corners nodding to the surrounding architecture.
