BATH, Maine—The gunman in the recent mass shootings in Maine threatened last month to “shoot up the drill center” where his Army reserves unit is based, according to records released late Monday by a local sheriff.
Sagadahoc County Sheriff Joel Merry also said deputies from his department spoke several times with concerned family members of suspect Robert Card, 40, in the months before he killed 18 people in a shooting rampage last week.
