The first impeachment inquiry hearing is set to begin Thursday morning at 10:00 a.m. Eastern. Hosted by the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, the hearing is titled: “The Basis for an Impeachment Inquiry of President Joseph R. Biden, Jr.” Witnesses include Bruce Dubinsky, founder of Dubinsky Consulting, Eileen O’Connor, former Assistant Attorney General – United States Department of Justice (DOJ-Tax), Jonathan Turley, Shapiro Chair for Public Interest Law – George Washington University Law School, and Michael J. Gerhardt (Minority Witness), Burton Craige Distinguished Professor of Jurisprudence – University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Their prepared remarks can be found here.
As Joe Cunningham noted when the hearing was announced:
According to Chad Pergram, who broke the story at Fox News, next week’s hearing likely won’t go over anything new, but instead focus on what has already been made publicly available, using the evidence the House Oversight Committee has previously uncovered. However, that will just be in order to lay the groundwork for what is to come.
But don’t expect it to be a snoozefest. Ahead of the hearing, the House Ways and Means Committee released a number of documents further demonstrating the Biden influence-peddling enterprise.
