Wizz Air Abu Dhabi commences flights to Erbil – Business Traveller

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has commenced services connecting the UAE’s capital to the city of Erbil in Iraq. The flights from Abu Dhabi to Erbil operate every Monday and Friday with one-way fares starting at approximately Dhs269. The flight departs from Abu Dhabi at 8.35am and lands in Erbil at 10.50am. Wizz Air to quit Edinburgh in favour of Glasgow – Business Traveller

Wizz Air has announced plans to launch flights from Glasgow to Bucharest and Budapest next month. Both routes will be served twice-weekly, with Budapest (a route Wizz Air has previously flown) operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 14 November, and Bucharest operating on Mondays and Fridays from 17 November. But Glasgow’s gain is Edinburgh’s loss, as existing Wizz Air flights from the Scottish capital to Budapest and Bucharest will cease on 11 and 13 November respectively. It is also understood that the carrier’s seasonal route from Edinburgh to Gdansk will close on 26 October, leaving the airport with no Wizz Air services for now. Wizz Air adds free tier to Discount Club loyalty programme – Business Traveller

Wizz Air has added a new entry level tier to its existing WIZZ Discount Club loyalty programme. The Discount Club was launched over a decade ago, and currently offers members a €10 discount on fares above €19.99, and €5 off 20kg and 32kg checked baggage options, in return for a €39.99 yearly fee. A group membership for up to six people is also available for €69.99 per year. The carrier said that the new WIZZ Discount Club Light had been added “to increase engagement from customers”, and will offer members “exclusive in-flight discounts”, including coupons and promotions for the WIZZ Café and Boutique.
