Thai Airways unveils new Royal Silk amenity kits – Business Traveller

Thai Airways has partnered with silk brand Jim Thompson for its latest amenity kits for Royal Silk (business class) passengers. The bags have been created with biodegradable fabric and come in six different designs, each paired with a “velvety-soft” eye mask in a coordinating design. The six Jim Thompson prints draw inspiration from Thai culture and natural beauty. Bupha is inspired by the Dendrobium orchid; Mini Elephants pays homage to the Thai elephant; Porcelain nods to the historical connection between Portugal and China; Amphawa is inspired by canal homes and floating markets in Samut Songkhram; Royal Garland echoes the tradition of crafting garlands as symbols of good fortune in Thai culture; and Yatra showcases the grandeur of elephant processions. Thai Airways firms winter schedule – Business Traveller

Star Alliance founding member Thai Airways has finalised its schedule for the upcoming winter season to 30 March 2024. The Bangkok-based flag carrier will operate to 51 destinations, including double daily flights to London’s Heathrow, Frankfurt and Melbourne. Thai Airways long-haul routes with daily flights comprise Copenhagen; Stockholm; Munich; Istanbul (from 1 December); Paris; Zurich; and Sydney. The airline will deploy its Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on its services to Europe and Australia. Thai Airways currently operates just under 50 widebody aircraft, as well as 20 short-haul Airbus A320s. Thai Airways rosters A350 on new Istanbul route – Business Traveller

Thai flag carrier Thai Airways International (THAI) will commence Bangkok-Istanbul on 1 December, the airline’s latest schedule update reveals. THAI will deploy an Airbus A350-900 on the daily service. The airline has two different A350-900 seat maps. THAI’s original A350 layout has 32 seats in business and 289 in economy. A350s recently delivered have 33 in business and 301 in economy. No matter which configuration you get, business will be in a 1-2-1 configuration with direct aisle access for every passenger, while economy is a comfortable 3-3-3 on both versions. Star Alliance founding member Thai Airways (THAI) will launch daily flights between its Bangkok base and Istanbul from December. Thai Airways returns to Sapporo with 787-9 – Business Traveller

Star Alliance founding member Thai Airways International (THAI) will resume the Bangkok-Sapporo route on 2 August with five-weekly Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner flights. For now, the schedule has only been confirmed through 28 October, THAI notes. The outbound TG670 Bangkok-Sapporo flights will depart on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 2345, arriving in Sapporo the following morning at 0830. The inbound TG671 Sapporo-Bangkok flights will depart the Japanese city every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1000, touching back down at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport at 1500 same day.
