Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), the world’s largest alliance of independent hotel brands, has entered a loyalty partnership with luxury cruise line Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Following a relaunch of GHA’s loyalty programme in 2021, GHA DISCOVERY members have been able to earn Discovery Dollars (D$1 equal to US$1) on stays at over 800 properties across 100 countries. Now, GHA loyalty members will be able to earn between D$750 and D$2,500 for every Regent cruise reservation made, and will be able to redeem those benefits at any property within the GHA portfolio. When the Icon of the Seas sets sail early next year, it will take some time to disappear from the horizon. At 1,198 feet long and a gross tonnage of 250,800, it is hard to miss.The Royal Caribbean cruise ship will have 20 decks packed with more than 20 bars and restaurants, seven pools, nine whirlpools, and six water slides, as well as mini golf, rock climbing and an arcade.
