Air Canada boosts Asia-Pacific schedule – Business Traveller

Star Alliance carrier Air Canada has announced it is strategically boosting its Asia-Pacific network capacity with additional flights and larger aircraft beginning mid-December through to the end of next summer 2024. Vancouver-Hong Kong will see 11-weekly flights from 13 December to 29 February to support holiday and Lunar New Year travel, and 10-weekly flights from 1 March to 26 October. The Vancouver-Bangkok winter seasonal service will be extended, with four-weekly flights to 5 May, and daily service between 8 January and 28 February. China Airlines boosts Japan, Korea routes in schedule update – Business Traveller

China Airlines (CAL), the Taiwan flag carrier, will operate up to 180 flights a week to Japan and South Korea in the winter schedule to 30 March. Flights from Taoyuan to Tokyo (Narita) will increase to 24 weekly rotations, while flights from Taipei downtown Songshan airport to Tokyo’s Haneda will run twice a day. CAL will also maintain a daily Kaohsiung-Narita service, equating to up to 45 weekly flights and at least six daily flights to and from Tokyo. The Taoyuan-Kumamoto route launched in mid-September will increase to four weekly flights starting 3 December, while flights from Taoyuan to Fukuoka will go up to 16 flights a week from 2 January. Thai Airways firms winter schedule – Business Traveller

Star Alliance founding member Thai Airways has finalised its schedule for the upcoming winter season to 30 March 2024. The Bangkok-based flag carrier will operate to 51 destinations, including double daily flights to London’s Heathrow, Frankfurt and Melbourne. Thai Airways long-haul routes with daily flights comprise Copenhagen; Stockholm; Munich; Istanbul (from 1 December); Paris; Zurich; and Sydney. The airline will deploy its Airbus A350-900 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on its services to Europe and Australia. Thai Airways currently operates just under 50 widebody aircraft, as well as 20 short-haul Airbus A320s. Philippine Airlines firms long-haul winter schedule – Business Traveller

Manila-based Filipino flag carrier group Philippine Airlines (PAL) has finalised its long-haul schedule for the period to 30 March. PAL will fly twice a day between Manila and Los Angeles this winter. Elsewhere in the US, the carrier will operate a daily service to San Francisco, and four times a week to New York’s Kennedy airport. Manila-Guam will see daily flights, while Manila-Honolulu will be five-weekly. In Canada, PAL will fly daily to Vancouver this winter, and twice a week to Toronto. All Nippon Airways confirms winter schedule for Europe – Business Traveller

Star Alliance member All Nippon Airways (ANA) says it has confirmed its flight schedule from Tokyo to Europe this winter. In the schedule for 29 October to 30 March, ANA will continue to serve four European gateways from Haneda, and one from Narita airport. Flights to London’s Heathrow airport from Haneda will operate daily this winter with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, including first class. Haneda-Frankfurt will remain a double daily operation. Both flights will be operated by the 787-9 Dreamliner, including business, premium economy and economy class. LoganAir announces summer 2024 schedule to Donegal – Business Traveller

Loganair is set to increase its summer schedule between Glasgow and Donegal for summer 2024 following strong passenger demand. The regional carrier relaunched flights between the two destinations in July this year, after a hiatus since 2021. Running from April to October next year, the Scottish airline will operate four flights per week, up from this year’s schedule of three flights per week. The UK’s largest regional airline remains the only carrier offering a direct air link between the UK and Donegal. The summer schedule will launch on 5 April, 2024, operated by the ATR-42 aircraft, and will run on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
