ACI EUROPE has awarded a new Level 5 within its Airport Carbon Accreditation programme, which independently assesses and recognises the efforts of airports to manage and reduce their carbon emissions. World of Hyatt is making a number of changes to its World of Hyatt loyalty programme from the start of 2024, which it says will offer “more flexibility and choices for members”. SAS unveils EuroBonus Conscious Traveler reward programme – Business Traveller

SAS has announced plans for a new scheme which will reward customers for making “conscious choices”. The SAS EuroBonus Conscious Traveler programme will launch in January, and will offer members a “variety of rewards” when they complete ten or more “conscious steps” during a calendar year. IHG’s Hotel Indigo brand has launched a new programme enabling locals to borrow everyday items such as sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper, and tea and coffee from its hotels. Borrowed by Hotel Indigo, inspired by its latest marketing campaign ‘The World’s Neighbourhood Hotel, invites people who live in the same zip code or postcode to “borrow” everyday necessities. Participating hotels will have display signage at check-in, outlining what’s available to borrow, and items will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis – they are not available to reserve or hold. Atlantis Dubai has selected nine local and international conservation and sustainability projects to receive funding from its Atlantis Atlas Project 1 USD initiative. From June 2022 to May 2023, for every marine animal experience participated in by a guest, Atlantis Dubai contributed US$1, resulting in a US$140,000 fund. In the programme’s first year, Atlantis contributed US$120,000 of funding, and since launching in June 2021, the 1 USD contribution initiative has raised over a quarter of a million dollars. Eurostar has launched its new brand identity under the slogan ‘Together we go further’, highlighting its expanded network following the merger with Thalys earlier this year. While the merger officially took place in May 2022, Eurostar has now unveiled a single website and mobile app, where customers can book connections across mainland Europe, as well as a joint loyalty programme under the existing Club Eurostar branding. The website and app now feature the new symbol and logo inspired by l’Etoile du Nord, the original train service linking Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam, which is also a tribute to the first Eurostar logo. Cathay Pacific has revamped its corporate loyalty ‘Business Plus’ programme and travel management platform. Aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and growing businesses, Business Plus allows SMEs to manage their business travel in a self-service travel platform. Korean Air improves ‘Cash and Miles’ programme – Business Traveller

SkyTeam member Korean Air has enhanced its “Cash and Miles” programme to allow customers to redeem more miles when purchasing tickets. From 10 August, the maximum amount of redeemable miles for a Cash and Miles ticket has increased from 20 per cent to 30 per cent. Cash and Miles is an option that allows its SKYPASS members to pay for tickets using a combination of cash and award miles and is available for all departure dates and booking classes. Korean Air introduced the Cash and Miles program in 2021 to provide more opportunities for customers to redeem their miles.
