Vice Media CMO Steps Down to Lead Public Affairs and Marketing Firm

SYDNEY—Seven West Media said James Warburton will step down as chief executive before the end of the 2024 fiscal year and be replaced by the Australian media conglomerate’s chief financial officer.Seven West on Thursday said that Warburton had advised the company that he intended to quit as CEO and managing director. Updated Nov. 30, 2023 4:30 pm ETPenguin Random House has filed a federal lawsuit seeking to block school book banning in Iowa, the latest effort by publishers, authors and teachers to counter the removal of works from school classrooms and libraries.The legal action, filed Thursday in federal district court in the Southern District of Iowa, was prompted by a state law passed earlier this year that bans from school libraries or classrooms books that depict or describe sex acts. Washington Post Names Former Dow Jones Chief William Lewis as CEO

The Washington Post named former Dow Jones Chief Executive William Lewis as its CEO and publisher, ending a monthslong search for a leader tasked with improving the D.C. news outlet’s flagging business.   “The Washington Post is a premier global media publisher of record, known for its 145-year-old history of unflinching journalism, and I am thrilled and humbled to be at its helm as both a media executive and former reporter,” Lewis said in a statement Saturday.
