RwandAir moves Heathrow operations to Terminal 4 – Business Traveller

RwandAir has moved its operations at Heathrow Airport to Terminal 4 “to enhance the customer experience” for those travelling to and from Rwanda. The press release stated that the move is “part of a series of changes implemented by Heathrow Airport’s operators to streamline operations at the busy airport”. The African airline launched flights from Heathrow Airport in October 2020, having previously served London Gatwick since 2017. RwandAir currently offers six direct flights per week to Kigali, increasing to daily from 29 April, with the route served by A330 aircraft configured with 30 fully flat business class seats and 244 seats in economy. Malaysia Airlines launches 737 Max 8 operations – Business Traveller

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent company of oneworld alliance carrier Malaysia Airlines, earlier this week commemorated the arrival of its first Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft with a launch ceremony held at MAG’s engineering complex at Kuala Lumpur airport. The national carrier thus far has placed orders for 25 737 Max 8s, all on lease from US-based Air Lease Corp (ALC). The 25 new Max 8s will be delivered gradually through 2026. Aeromexico to expand European operations in 2024 – Business Traveller

Aeromexico has announced plans to ramp up its operations to Europe next year, marking the carrier’s highest connectivity between Mexico and Europe in history. The airline is adding six weekly frequencies to Madrid and three more flights to Paris from Mexico City, stating “it will meet the demand for the peak summer season and connectivity for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games”. The Skyteam carrier will operate a total of 65 weekly flights to Amsterdam, London, Madrid, Paris and Rome. All-business Beond airline to commence operations in November – Business Traveller

An all-business class airline is set to commence operations next month with its hub in the Maldivian capital of Male. Initially, the airline will begin with flights from Munich, Riyadh and Zurich to Velana International airport (MLE), followed by services from Milan and Dubai to Male in March 2024. From Riyadh the inaugural flight will depart on November 9 and will operate as a twice-weekly service every Thursday and Saturday. The first flight from Munich to Male will commence on November 15, operating every Wednesday and Sunday, with a refuelling stop at Al Maktoum International (DWC) in Dubai wherein guests will remain on-board.
