Mobile coverage switched on at four Elizabeth line stations – Business Traveller

Transport for London has completed the first phase of introducing mobile coverage on the Elizabeth line. Travellers can now access high-speed mobile connectivity on platforms, escalators and in tickets halls at Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon and Liverpool Street stations. More stations are set to follow in the new year, and work is also underway to add mobile coverage in tunnelled sections, with the whole of the 73-mile line set to have access by the end of spring 2024. The Leading Hotels of the World launches mobile app – Business Traveller

The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) has launched a mobile app for both hotel guests and members of its loyalty programme Leaders Club. The LHW portfolio currently consists of over 400 hotels in over 80 countries, including The Ritz, The Landmark, Baglioni and Brown’s Hotel, a Rocco Forte Hotel in London. The Leading Hotels app gives guests the ability to discover and book more than 400 properties across 80 destinations, as well as requesting room upgrades and managing reservations across multiple hotels in a trip. Further ahead coverage will also be extended to the Docklands Light Railway and between Highbury and Islington and New Cross on the London Overground within the next two years. The project is being implemented by Boldyn Networks, with around 500 people working overnight across the Tube network to install mobile equipment. The “neutral host” network means users of all four of the UK’s mobile network operators – Three UK, EE, Vodafone, and Virgin Media O2 – are able to get connected.
