Finnair to adopt Avios loyalty currency on 9 March, 2024 – Business Traveller

Finnair has confirmed it will adopt the Avios loyalty currency for its Finnair Plus frequent flyer programme from March next year. The carrier announced plans to adopt the Avios currency this summer, and has now revealed in social media posts that the switch date will be on 9 March, 2024. The change will also see Finnair adopt a spend-based model for the earning of Avios, similar to that already in place for the Iberia Plus and British Airways Executive Club programmes. This page on finnair.com states: “[The] Finnair Plus programme will enter a new era on 9 March 2024. American Airlines unveils loyalty scheme aimed at businesses – Business Traveller

American Airlines has launched a business loyalty programme, rewarding companies and their employees with AAdvantage miles and loyalty points when booking business travel. AAdvantage Business is available to companies of at least five employees based in the US or Canada, and there is no minimum spending requirement for the business to start earning miles. American Airlines said that the programme will allow companies to earn 1 mile for every US$1 spent when booking through American Airlines, which can be redeemed on flights, lounge access, hotels, car rental and more experiences. For that same US$1 spent, employees will earn 1 loyalty point which counts towards their accrual for earning status as an AAdvantage member. Note that these points are on top of any miles or points the traveller...

The website and app now feature the new symbol and logo inspired by l’Etoile du Nord, the original train service linking Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam, which is also a tribute to the first Eurostar logo. The fleet of 51 trains will also feature the Eurostar name and new logo, though colours differ depending on the destination. The trains serving London are blue, while t...

Cathay Pacific has revamped its corporate loyalty ‘Business Plus’ programme and travel management platform. Aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and growing businesses, Business Plus allows SMEs to manage their business travel in a self-service travel platform. The Hong Kong-based oneworld carrier says Business Plus members can now earn Asia Miles to their company Business Plus account rather than their personal accounts. Moreover, Business Plus members can use Asia Miles to redeem rewards such as Cathay frequent flyer programme silver membership, equivalent to oneworld Ruby status, as well as lounge passes which they can gift to other travellers. Asia Miles can also be transferred to any employee’s individual Cathay account for flight, hotel and lifestyle redemptions. ...
