No1 Lounges to open two spaces at London Luton airport – Business Traveller

Swissport and Airport Dimensions have announced plans to add two facilities under the No1 Lounges portfolio at London Luton airport. Firstly let’s take a step back and look at the background to this. In 2021 Airport Dimensions (a subsidiary of Collinson – owner of the Priority Pass brand) formed a joint venture with Swissport to acquire No1 Lounges. A Clubrooms lounge (part of the No1 Lounges portfolio) had opened in 2019 at London Luton airport, but this closed in 2020 following the onset of Covid-19, and did not initially form part of the above agreement. It has remained closed since then. Meanwhile there is an Aspire Lounge at Luton airport, which reopened in 2020 following renovation and has been operating since. KLM unveils renovated lounges at Houston and Toronto airports – Business Traveller

Meanwhile remodelling works at KLM’s Houston lounge – situated in the airport’s Terminal D and open daily between 0600 and 2100 – have included new flooring, wallpaper, fixtures and bathroom upgrades. There is a new Delft house display similar to Toronto, and the lounge also features a series of wall art “inspired by the three cabins and in-flight catering experience that awaits them on board”. British Airways to refresh lounges at Edinburgh, Seattle and Heathrow – Business Traveller

British Airways is to refresh its lounges at Edinburgh, Seattle and Heathrow this year, alongside an ongoing refurb of its Heathrow T5B facility. The carrier said that it would add a “brand-new bar and an enhanced menu offering” at its Seattle lounge, as well as “new touches” at its Edinburgh facility. At Heathrow BA is also replacing furniture at its T5 Arrivals and T3 lounges, as well as adding new day beds and areas for working at its Concorde Room. Priority Pass adds 13 lounges in Indonesia – Business Traveller

Priority Pass members now have access to 13 new lounges across Indonesia, thanks to an agreement between owner Collinson and hospitality provider Blue Sky Group. The additional options include lounges at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International, Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International in Balikpapan, and Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International in Palembang. Collinson said that access to eight of the lounges would be exclusive to Priority Pass members. Facilities include complimentary buggy services from the lounge to immigration at Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan International and Soekarno-Hatta International’s Terminal 2, as well as coffee from Blue Sky’s in-house brand Ippolito, and local dishes such as Pisang Goreng and Jajanan Pasar.
