IHG’s Kimpton brand to debut in Lisbon – Business Traveller

IHG Hotels and Resorts is bringing its Kimpton brand to the Portuguese capital next year. Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants already has a presence in Portugal, having opened the Kimpton Algarve São Rafael Atlántico in late 2023. The property will feature 141 rooms and “design-forward” public spaces by Rockwell, including a rooftop bar and pool. The hotel will be within walking distance of attractions include the Eduardo VII Park, Marquês de Pombal Square and Avenida Liberdade. Amsterdam-based CityID Group has announced plans to rebrand as The July Group, alongside the creation of new hotel collection The July Hotels. The brand will initially comprise two existing hotels in Amsterdam, namely The July – Boat & Co, and The July – Twenty Eight. The group’s third property – ID Aparthotel – will be renamed ID Aparthotel by The July, “to illustrate its difference to the other hotels on the platform”. Referring to itself as “a series of premium life-centred apartment-hotels”, The July Hotels brand intends to expand overseas, with the addition of three more properties. Hilton to open three hotels in Lisbon – Business Traveller

Hilton has announced plans to open three new properties in the city centre of Lisbon. Duo Hotel Lisbon, Curio Collection by Hilton will open in spring 2024, while the company’s Hampton and Canopy brands will make their debut in Portugal in 2025 and 2026 respectively. Duo Hotel Lisbon, Curio Collection by Hilton will be located in the west-downtown area of the city, occupying a traditional 19th century building which is linked to a secondary new development by a landscaped interior courtyard. The hotel will include 75 rooms, an all-day dining outlet, café, bar, meeting space and a Portuguese pasteleria, offering local cakes and pastries.
