Two Bengaluru students test positive for Cholera after 47 hospitalised | India News

Two students from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute who were hospitalised with others after they complained of loose stools and dehydration have tested positive for cholera, officials said on Saturday. This comes a day after 47 students from the same institute were hospitalised with similar symptoms. Dr Padma MR of the state surveillance unit, under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, said that the cultures of two students have come back positive for cholera. JSW Infrastructure, the recently-listed entity of the JSW Group, on Thursday said it secured the winning bid for the development of an all-weather, deep-water, and greenfield port at Keni in Karnataka for an estimated cost of Rs 4,119 crore. The Karnataka Maritime Board, under the state government, has issued a letter of award for the port, which will be constructed with an initial capacity of 30 million tonnes per annum (mtpa), the company said in a statement.
