WaterWalk extended stay brand joins Wyndham – Business Traveller

Wyndham has launched its 25th brand, following a strategic agreement with upscale extended stay brand WaterWalk. Now known as WaterWalk Extended Stay by Wyndham, the brand adds a total of 11 US properties and 1,500 rooms to Wyndham’s portfolio, in locations including Tuscon, Jacksonville and Wichita. WaterWalk was founded in 2014 by the late Jack DeBoer, an American entrepreneur and hotelier who was also created Residence Inn (now Residence Inn by Marriott), Candlewood Suites (now part of IHG’s portfolio) and Summerfield Suites (now part of the Hyatt House brand). Cheval Collection joins the Global Hotel Alliance – Business Traveller

Serviced apartment operator Cheval Collection has signed an agreement to join the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA). Cheval currently operates nine serviced apartment properties in London, as well as three in Edinburgh and the recently opened Cheval Maison – The Palm Dubai. The group is also set to open Cheval Maison – Expo City Dubai next year, followed by Cheval Maison – West Regent in Glasgow in 2026. Choice Hotels International has announced the latest US addition to its Ascend Hotel Collection. The Mayfair Hotel is housed within a seven storey building at 240-242 West 49th Street next to the Eugene O’Neill, Ambassador, Gershwin and Barrymore venues in New York’s Theater District, The hotel has been recently renovated, having closed during the Covid-19 pandemic, and features 77 rooms as well as an onsite restaurant and lounge. Iberia joins British Airways and Qatar Airways joint venture – Business Traveller

Iberia has officially joined British Airways and Qatar Airways’ joint business partnership. The partnership between BA and Qatar Airways is currently the largest airline joint business in the world, covering more than 180 destinations in 60 countries. With the addition of the Spanish flag carrier, passengers will be able to connect to more than 200 destinations through the three airlines. In light of the joint business expansion, Iberia will add a new daily service from its hub Madrid Barajas International airport to Hamad International airport, starting from 11 December, 2023. Iberia will operate the Airbus A330-200 on the service, with 288 seats in business and economy cabins.
