Radisson Hotel Group returns to Jordan – Business Traveller

Radisson Hotel Group has opened a new Radisson Blu Hotel, Amman Galleria Mall in Jordan’s capital. Located inside the Galleria Mall, it is approximately 30km from Queen Alia International airport. The hotel’s prime location provides easy access to the city’s leading dining destinations including Swefieh Village and Wakalat Street, tourist attractions including Amman Citadel and the Jordan Museum and also to the King Hussein Business Park. Marriott International will open a new downtown W Hotel in Singapore, complementing its existing W property in Sentosa. The new 350-room W Singapore – Marina View hotel will be part of a 51-storey mixed-use development which will also include Marina View Residences. Construction of the development is expected to begin by the end of 2023, with W Singapore – Marina View currently expected to open its doors in late 2028. Zedwell opens third windowless hotel in London – Business Traveller

Zedwell Hotels has opened its latest property in the UK capital, located in Greenwich close to the River Thames. The 96-room property is housed within the glass and steel Cavatina Point building on Harmony Place, but despite its above-ground location the hotel follows the brand’s existing Piccadilly and Tottenham Court Road properties in offering a windowless sleep concept. Each “cocoon” can accommodate up to two guests, and are “intentionally free from TVs and extraneous distractions”, with features including Hypnos beds, Egyptian cotton sheets, rain showers and ambient, circadian rhythm-based lighting. IHG’s Hotel Indigo brand has launched a new programme enabling locals to borrow everyday items such as sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper, and tea and coffee from its hotels. Borrowed by Hotel Indigo, inspired by its latest marketing campaign ‘The World’s Neighbourhood Hotel, invites people who live in the same zip code or postcode to “borrow” everyday necessities. Participating hotels will have display signage at check-in, outlining what’s available to borrow, and items will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis – they are not available to reserve or hold. Staff members will assemble and package the items in a tote bag for them to take away. There is no cost to borrow the items, nor a requirement to return the items. Located at its The Red Sea destination, Shebara is slated to open in summer 2024 and is the first resort to be owned and operated by RSG at The Red Sea destination. Shebara is located on Sheybarah Island, which features a 30-40m reef drop-off close to the beach. The resort features 73 keys, including overwater and beach villas. IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with NK Sharma Hospitality Pvt Ltd to develop two new hotels in the Chandigarh tri-city area – Crowne Plaza Chandigarh Zirakpur in the premium segment and Holiday Inn & Suites Chandigarh Zirakpur from the essentials collection. Currently under construction, both hotels are scheduled to open in January 2027. Complementing Holiday Inn Chandigarh Panchkula and Holiday Inn Chandigarh Zirakpur, the dual signing will strengthen IHG’s offerings in Punjab and add over 350 keys to the company’s portfolio in the state.
