Aer Lingus unveils new business class menu and grows IFE library – Business Traveller

Aer Lingus has launched a new business class menu while also expanding its inflight entertainment library by more than a third. The Irish flag carrier updates its menus every three months, with the latest iteration including dishes such as skin-on thyme and parsley chicken supreme, herb-infused roasted pork, pan-fried hake, citrus-marinated salmon and a vegetarian root vegetable and pearl barley stew. The airline will also serve starters of Irish smoked salmon, saffron-poached prawns, and a roast parsnip and seasonal apple soup, while desserts include a choice of lemon cream mousse and a local cheese board. Malaysia Airlines grows Airbus A350 fleet – Business Traveller

Kuala Lumpur-based oneworld member, Malaysia Airlines, is growing its long-haul Airbus A350 fleet following the acquisition of a seventh A350-900. The flag carrier tells Business Traveller Asia-Pacific: “Malaysia Airlines has acquired an additional A350-900 aircraft, growing its A350 fleet size to seven aircraft from the current six. The aircraft bearing registration number 9M-MAH, arrived in Kuala Lumpur from Victorville, California on 12 November 2023.” The aircraft was manufactured in 2020 and previously operated for SAS – Scandinavian Airlines. IHG’s voco brand grows across Europe – Business Traveller

IHG Hotels and Resorts’ fast-growing voco hotels brand has announced a slate of properties across Europe. The hotel brand will debut in Portugal with a 61-suite property set within the Algarve’s Ria Formosa Nature Park by the end of 2023, complete with a full-service restaurant, bar, exclusive access to two golf courses and an outdoor pool. The brand will also debut in Northern Ireland in early 2024, with a 120-room property in Belfast, while the Hertfordshire countryside will welcome the 87-key voco Letchworth Hall next year as well. This will be followed by IHG’s first lifecycle net-zero carbon hotel, the 142-room voco Zeal Exeter Science Park, in early 2025. FlyArystan grows network with latest A320 neo delivery – Business Traveller

FlyArystan, Kazakhstan’s low-cost airline, has welcomed the latest Airbus A320 neo aircraft to its fast-growing fleet. This delivery marked the 17th aircraft for the Air Astana subsidiary, and the sixth brand-new A320 neo delivered directly from the Airbus halls to FlyArystan. FlyArystan has quickly grown its network since it operated its first flight in May 2019 and currently operates more than 90 daily flights. The carrier is looking to deepen its Central Asia network while at the same time expanding deeper into China, India, and the Caucasus. Regular charters to Red Sea resorts in Egypt are on offer, too.
