Former George Santos Aide Pleads Guilty to Fraud

A former aide to U.S. Rep. George Santos pleaded guilty to wire fraud Tuesday for impersonating a high-ranking House staffer while fundraising, the second known associate of the New York Republican to admit to crimes related to the congressman’s campaign activities.Samuel Miele, who worked for Santos on two campaigns, entered the plea at a Long Island federal courthouse.
