Emirates on October 19, 2023 celebrated the upcoming launch of its Premium Economy offering in India, with an exclusive tour of its four-class A380 aircraft in Mumbai. When the new cabin class debuts on its A380 flights later this month, Emirates will be the first Middle East carrier operating in Mumbai to offer the understated luxury experience. Emirates now offers meal pre-ordering service on 92 routes – Business Traveller

Emirates has further extended its meal pre-ordering service for business class customers. The service was piloted on all flights between Dubai and London’s Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports this summer, and subsequently extended to European routes including Warsaw, Venice, Rome, Bologna, Prague, Vienna, Moscow, Istanbul, Dublin, Hamburg, St Petersburg, Brussels and Madrid. It has now been rolled out to 92 routes globally, with 30 new destinations added including Riyadh, Jeddah, Delhi, Mumbai and Kuala Lumpur. Emirates said that more than 10,000 pre-orders had been made on 3,000 flights since since the service went live, with more than 600 being made each day. Emirates launches new wildlife-inspired amenity kits – Business Traveller

Emirates has partnered with charity United for Wildlife to launch a series of amenity kits highlighting eight of the most endangered species on the planet. The amenity kits are now being offered to premium economy and economy class customers on long-haul flights globally. The animals featured on the pouches are some of the most trafficked creatures in the world, according to Emirates. These include the green sea turtle, African elephant, blue macaw, gorilla, hammerhead shark, lion, pangolin and the black rhino. The wildlife amenity kit pouches are reusable and made from washable Kraft paper, with bespoke art of the animals printed in non-toxic soy-based ink. Emirates signs interline with SriLankan Airlines – Business Traveller

Emirates and SriLankan Airlines have signed an interline agreement that will enable access to new points on each other’s networks via Colombo and Dubai, utilising a single ticket and the convenience of baggage transfers. The interline agreement will grant Emirates passengers access to 15 regional destinations operated by SriLankan Airlines via Colombo. The interline network also includes two new Indian destinations, Madurai and Tiruchirapally, in addition to Gan Island in the Maldives. Emirates and Maldivian have announced an interline partnership, enabling Emirates customers to access 16  destinations in the Maldives beyond Malé. Emirates is rolling out its new meal pre-ordering service for business class customers across its European network. The service was piloted on all flights between Dubai and London’s Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports this summer, and will now be extended to routes including Warsaw, Venice, Rome, Bologna, Prague, Vienna, Moscow, Istanbul, Dublin, Hamburg, St Petersburg, Brussels and Madrid, as well as to and from the Seychelles and Mauritius. Emirates and United expand codeshare to include Mexico – Business Traveller

Emirates has announced an expansion to its current codeshare arrangement with United to include nine destinations in Mexico. Starting September 14, Emirates customers will have access to eight new destinations in the country, in addition to Mexico City, which the airline already serves. The expansive codeshare network between Emirates and United currently includes a number of US cities. Mexico becomes the first country outside of the US to be added to that codeshare network.
