More than 50 hotels united for Ramadan drive by Marriott’s Business Council in the UAE this year – Business Traveller

As part of its ongoing commitment to give back to the community, Marriott International Hotels in the UAE came together during Ramadan to help provide over 12,000 meals across the community. More than 50 hotels collaborated with The Giving Family, Dubai Municipality and Emirates Red Crescent on a number of initiatives, and the company also celebrated its annual Iftar for Cabs initiative in the UAE. The initiatives were organised by Marriott’s Business Council in the UAE. Emirates adds chauffeur drive service at Jakarta airport – Business Traveller

Emirates has further extended its premium chauffeur drive service to include arrivals and departures at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International airport. First and business class customers now benefit from a complimentary chauffeur drive for both departures and arrivals within an 80km radius of the airport. Bookings must be made at least 12 hours before scheduled flight times, and eligible passengers wishing to book longer journeys can pay a fee for additional mileage. Customers arriving into the airport will be greeted at gate 1 and assisted in transferring to Zone 2 for their chauffeur drive pick-up, and similarly those departing the airport will be dropped off at gate 2, enabling them to proceed to the carrier’s check-in counters at C Island. Kingston Digital launches 29-gram external solid state drive – Business Traveller

Kingston Digital Europe has launched a new portable solid state drive (SSD) aimed at travellers needing to take large files with them on trips or those looking for a pocket-sized backup. The XS1000 SSD is the size of a key fob and weighs just 29 grams, but can hold up to 2TB of documents and files (a 1TB version is also available). The drive offers read speeds of up to 1,050MB per second, and comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable, and backwards compatibility to devices using USB 3.2 Gen 1. The XS1000 costs £69.98 for the 1TB version, and £106.99 for the 2TB option, both including a limited five-year warranty and free technical support.
