Delta will operate 34 peak-day flights to 12 destinations from Miami this summer. SkyTeam member Delta Air Lines will further expand its Asia network next summer with the launch of daily nonstop service from Seattle (SEA) to Taiwan Taoyuan International airport (TPE) starting 6 June, subject to government approval. This marks Delta’s inaugural nonstop flight to Taipei from the US and the first Delta aircraft operation to TPE since 2017 via Narita International airport in Japan. Delta will deploy one of its latest-technology Airbus A330-900 neo aircraft on the 13-hour westbound, 12-hour eastbound service from Seattle to Taipei. Delta has announced plans for a new seasonal route between Minneapolis St-Paul and Dublin for summer 2024. The five-times-weekly service will launch on 9 May next year, with Boeing 767-300 flights departing Minneapolis at 2120, and returning from Dublin at 1200. Delta will go head-to-head with Aer Lingus on the Minneapolis St-Paul – Dublin route, with the Irish carrier this week having announced plans to resume flights to the US city from 29 April, 2024. Marriott adds Delta property close to New York’s Times Square – Business Traveller

Marriott has opened the latest US property under its Delta brand. Delta Hotels by Marriott New York Times Square is located at 340 West 40th Street, around half a mile from the city’s famous intersection. An existing property has been refurbished to offer 310 rooms with platform beds, a lounge area and free wifi, as well as facilities including a lobby bar, George’s Nephew restaurant and a fitness centre. There is also a 24-hour Delta Pantry, where Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium and Ambassador Elite members can choose from complimentary continental breakfast items, premium beverages and snacks. Air France to replace Delta on Paris-Raleigh Durham route – Business Traveller

Air France has announced plans to launch flights between Paris CDG and Raleigh-Durham airport this winter. The French flag carrier will offer a three-times-weekly Boeing 787-9 service from 30 October, taking over from transatlantic joint venture partner Delta which has operated the route since 2016. Raleigh-Durham become Air France’s 14th US destination, joining Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York JFK, Newark, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington.
