For Warner-Paramount, Streaming Consolidation Is Easier Said Than Done

Discovery combining with Paramount Global is the latest pitch. The Wall Street Journal and other media outlets reported late Wednesday that Warner Chief Executive David Zaslav met with Paramount Chief Bob Bakish earlier this week to discuss a possible deal. No formal talks are yet under way, and the news comes just a couple of weeks after reports that Paramount’s controlling shareholder, Shari Redstone, was talking about a potential deal with an investor group led by Skydance Media.
