SIA and PAL ink codeshare deal – Business Traveller

Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Star Alliance member Singapore Airlines (SIA) have signed a new codeshare partnership agreement, which will allow the carriers to enhance flight options for their customers travelling between the Philippines and Singapore, as well as to other domestic and international destinations via their respective hubs. The codeshare agreement will start on SIA’s and PAL’s flights between Singapore and Manila by the fourth quarter of 2023, subject to regulatory approvals. SIA will also codeshare on PAL’s flights from Manila to 27 destinations within the Philippines, while PAL will codeshare on SIA’s flights to six destinations in Europe – Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Milan, Paris, Rome, and Zurich. Aer Lingus and American Airlines expand codeshare agreement – Business Traveller

Aer Lingus and American Airlines have expanded their codeshare agreement to include transatlantic routes from Dublin to Chicago and Philadelphia. The deal means customer can now book flights between the destinations on either of the carriers’ websites, allowing for increased connection options. The move follows the launch of a codeshare agreement between the two airlines last year, initially covering American Airlines domestic routes from Chicago, and Aer Lingus services from Dublin to selected UK and Irish destinations. Etihad signs codeshare with Scandinavian Airlines – Business Traveller

UAE national carrier Etihad Airways signed a codeshare agreement with Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway and Sweden, this week. The codeshare is expected to come into full service at the end of December 2023, which is when customers can book these tickets for travel from January. Etihad said that by way of this codeshare, customers of both airlines can avail of enhanced connectivity to destinations across each other’s networks. “The tie-in gives our guests one-stop access across Scandinavia to destinations including Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Gothenburg, Bergen and Aarhus,” said Arik De, Etihad’s chief revenue officer. Emirates to codeshare with Batik Air Malaysia – Business Traveller

Dubai-based carrier Emirates has announced a codeshare with Batik Air Malaysia that would allow Emirates customers to access five domestic Malaysian cities and three regional South East Asia points operated by Batik Air via Kuala Lumpur International airport (KLIA). Emirates will place its code on Batik Air-operated flights to Penang, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu, Langkawi, Johor Bahru, Denpasar, Jakarta and Singapore. Emirates customers will also have the option to stopover in Kuala Lumpur before proceeding to their final destination. British Airways signs new codeshare with IndiGo – Business Traveller

British Airways has announced a new codeshare deal with India’s largest domestic carrier. From 12 October customers will be able to purchase single ticket connections from London via either Delhi or Mumbai onto eight destinations operated by IndiGo. These include three Indian cities which will be available through British Airways for the first time – Thiruvananthapuram in the state of Kerala, and Rajkot and Vadodara in the state of Gujurat. Emirates and United expand codeshare to include Mexico – Business Traveller

Emirates has announced an expansion to its current codeshare arrangement with United to include nine destinations in Mexico. Starting September 14, Emirates customers will have access to eight new destinations in the country, in addition to Mexico City, which the airline already serves. The expansive codeshare network between Emirates and United currently includes a number of US cities. Mexico becomes the first country outside of the US to be added to that codeshare network. Emirates has expanded its codeshare partnership with Air Canada to include flights to and from Montréal, following the launch of services to Québec’s largest city in July. Emirates customers can plan travel between 11 domestic points beyond Montréal and destinations on Emirates’ network, utilising the services of both airlines on a single ticket. Apart from the 11 destinations that can be accessed by way of the codeshare via Montréal, an additional 69 points are accessible from the gateway on an interline basis.
