London City Airport reports 50 per cent reduction in security queue times – Business Traveller

London City Airport says queue times at security have been cut by half since the installation of new CT scanners one year ago. London City became the first major airport in the UK to fully deploy next generation CT security scanners in April 2023, allowing passengers to pass through security without removing laptops and liquids from their hand luggage. Passengers flying from London City Airport are also no longer restricted by the 100ml liquid rule, and can take through bottles of up to two litres. In December 2022 the DfT announced what it called an end to the “tiny toiletries” rule by 2024, with all major airports required to replace existing 2D screening technology with more advanced CT security scanners by June of this year. Accor to open Pullman hotel in Zagreb’s City Island business hub – Business Traveller

Accor will debut its Pullman brand in Croatian next year, with a 193-room property in the country’s capital. Pullman Zagreb is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2024, and will be located within the City Island development in Novi Zagreb. Features will include a restaurant, lobby bar, conference facilities and a wellness centre. City Island is situated south of the Sava River and Zagreb’s historical city centre, and around 15 minutes from Zagreb airport. City of Dalton officials have agreed to redirect $6 million from a 2020 bond issue that was originally allocated for a proposed aquatics center to recreation and stormwater projects.City Council members informally agreed to the proposal when they met as the Finance Committee last week.
