Jordi Fernandez is Nets choice to be next head coach: reports
Sacramento Kings assistant Jordi Fernandez has emerged as the Nets’ preferred choice to replace Jacque Vaughn as head coach, according to reports.
Fernandez, former Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer and Phoenix Suns associate head coach Kevin Young were considered to be among the candidates to fill Brooklyn’s vacancy. Kevin Ollie served as interim head coach over the Nets’ final 28 regular-season games after Vaughn was relieved of his duties in February.
Brooklyn finished 32-50 in 2023-24 and missed the postseason in a rather weak Eastern Conference.
