Many More Voters With Guns

More than half of American voters say that they or someone in their household owns a gun, according to a poll by NBC News. That’s the highest level since its polls began asking in 1999. After progressives drove up firearm ownership with policies that are soft on violent crime, they can’t figure out why their gun-control ideas fail to pass. The share of voters with a firearm in the household is 52%, up from 46% in 2019 and 42% in 2013. A partisan split is evident. Gun households now include 66% of Republicans, 45% of independents, and 41% of Democrats. Virgin Atlantic’s Black Friday deals include 33 per cent off reward seat redemptions – Business Traveller

Virgin Atlantic is offering a number of deals in its Black Friday promotion, which runs until 27 November. Virgin Red members can get 33 per cent off reward seat redemptions on all routes and across economy, Premium and Upper Class cabins. The offer is valid for travel until 30 September, 2024, with discount examples including return economy flights from Heathrow to New York for 13,400 Virgin Points (down from the usual 20,000 points). Meanwhile the carrier is offering up to £90 off economy and Premium fares, and up to £2,000 off selected Upper Class fares, for travel until 10 December, 2024. And Virgin Atlantic Holidays is offering £25 off per person, plus a further £150 off when spending a minimum of £3,500 per couple or £4,400 per family of four. British Airways launches Black Friday sale – Business Traveller

British Airways has launched its Black Friday promotion, with savings on flights and holiday packages. The deals are available until 27 November, and include flights to European destinations such as Barcelona, Faro, Nice, Pisa and Valencia from £39 each way. Customers can also get three nights for the price of two on selected European city breaks when travelling in January 2024. Examples include economy flights and three nights at the four-star Plaza Hotel in Venice from £169 per person. Discounted holiday packages are also available to long-haul destinations including Dubai, St Kitts, Cancun and St Lucia, and customers can get up to £300 extra off selected holidays when they spend £10,000 or more on flight and hotel packages.
