Birmingham airport surpasses pre-Covid passenger levels – Business Traveller

Birmingham airport (BHX) has become the latest UK airport to exceed pre-pandemic passenger traffic levels. A total of 1,106,000 passengers travelled through the airport in October, compared to 1,101,000 during the same period in 2019. The work will take place between September 2023 and May 2024, by which time the 6.8-megawatt configuration will provide at least 20 per cent of the airport’s on-site electrical power. BHX said that the solar panels would reduce its reliance on the power grid and its exposure to market price volatility, as well as moving it closer to its net zero carbon goal which was first announced in 2019. The airport is in the midst of a £40 mill...
