Queens crash leaves one dead and three injured, including 1-year-old

A driver lost control of his car and plowed into a couple and their grandchildren outside their Queens home on Tuesday.

A woman, 65, and two children, ages 5 and 1, were injured in the crash and a 67-year-old man was killed, according to police.

The 39-year-old driver of a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder was cruising east along 73rd Ave. when he lost control near 260th St. at 3:53 p.m., cops said.

The Pathfinder appeared to slam head-on into a parked Honda SUV belonging to the two adult victims. They were unloading their grandchildren when the crash occurred, according to a neighbor who refused to give her name.

The NYPD Highway Patrol investigates after several people were struck by a car on 260th St. and 73rd Ave. in Glen Oaks Village, Queens, on Tuesday.

The deceased victim was spotted at the scene beneath a white cloth hours after the crash, his body pinned between the back of the Honda and the front of a Lexus SUV parked behind it.

Paramedics rushed the woman to Long Island Jewish Hospital with an injured leg, according to police.

The infant suffered an injured leg and is listed in serious but stable condition, while the 5-year-old suffered scratches, cops said. They were both taken to Cohen Children’s Medical Center.

The Pathfinder driver remained at the scene of the crash, and no arrests have been made.

The incident is being investigated by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.
