Man, 71, punched to the ground by stranger on Brooklyn street

A  71-year-old man was punched to the ground by a stranger on a Brooklyn street, police said Wednesday.

The NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspect and are asking the public’s help identifying him and tracking him down.

The attacker stormed up to the victim on Bridge St. near Prospect St. in front of the Farragut Houses in Dumbo about 6:35 a.m. Oct. 25, cops said. He pummeled the victim in the face multiple times, knocking him off his feet.

Medics took the victim to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where he was treated for bruising to his face and swelling to the back of his head.
