Holiday Inn London Sutton unveils refurbishment – Business Traveller

Located off the top of Sutton High Street close to the town’s rail station, the Holiday Inn London Sutton first opened in the early 1990s.

I grew up nearby and have frequented the hotel many times for everything from school graduation parties to NCT classes, although I have never actually stayed there, and will aim to review the property next time I am in town.

Having enjoyed a near monopoly for decades, the hotel has faced increasing competition in recent years, with the opening of a Premier Inn Premier Inn close to the town’s St Nicholas centre in 2019, followed by the dual-branded ibis London Sutton Point and Aparthotel Adagio London Sutton Point in 2021.

My review of the ibis London Sutton Point from late last year can be seen at:

Commenting on the news Callum Duncan, general manager for the Holiday Inn London Sutton, said:

“I’m thrilled to welcome guests to our brand-new Open Lobby space. There are so many options and areas to plug in or switch off, that our business and travel guests will love what we’ve done, and we’ve already seen a pick-up in daytime trade.

“The new Open Lobby will also appeal to local Sutton residents and networking groups as a desirable space to meet up. Customer satisfaction is a top priority for me and my team, and this refurbishment allows us to deliver our best ever service with no barriers between us and our guests.”
