Courtyard by Marriott debuts new European design at renovated Berlin property – Business Traveller

The hotel’s fitness centre has also been upgraded, with new Technogym equipment, a weightlifting area, and a hydration station for guests to rest and refuel.

Five additional European hotels are set to feature the new design by next year, with openings in Biel/Bienne in Switzerland, Yerevan in Armenia, Lyon in France, and Milan Linate and Turin in Italy.

Courtyard by Marriott is the group’s largest brand with over 1,200 properties worldwide, including recent UK openings close to Exeter’s Sandy Park conference centre and London City airport.

In 2021 Marriott unveiled plans to renovate more than 375 of its earliest generation Courtyard hotels in the US and Canada.

Commenting on the news Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, vice president, premium and select brands, Europe, Middle East and Africa, said:

“The unveiling of Courtyard by Marriott’s new vision at Courtyard Berlin City Center demonstrates how our legacy brand continues to evolve to meet our guests and our member’s needs. By 2024, we plan to have five hotel openings that showcase the new design.
