BMW driver was drunk when she struck teen, bicyclist in Brooklyn: NYPD

A speeding BMW driver who plowed into a 19-year-old girl and a bicyclist at a Brooklyn intersection, leaving the pedestrian clinging to life, was drunk and driving an unregistered vehicle, police said Tuesday.

Crystal DeJesus, 20, has been charged with vehicular assault, speeding, reckless driving, and driving while drunk for the Sunday night crash in Bedford-Stuyvesant, cops said.

DeJesus was zipping west on Halsey St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant when she struck the teen and the 32-year-old bicyclist near Tompkins Ave. just before midnight, cops said.

The teen suffered a massive head injury in the crash. Medics rushed her to Kings County Hospital where she remained in critical condition Tuesday.
