Singapore’s Changi celebrates new app launch with business class lucky draw – Business Traveller

Changi Airport Group (CAG) has unveiled a new mobile experience following a revamp of the official airport mobile application Changi App.

Enhanced with a suite of new and upgraded features, Changi App, formerly called iChangi, now takes the promise of seamless and fuss-free travel to the next level with more useful and personalised services.

New features include customised travel information when passengers save their flight itineraries, such as recommendations for relevant services and facilities, travel checklists, advisories, and push notifications regarding boarding gate and baggage status.

Reservations at participating restaurants at Changi’s terminals and Jewel Changi Airport can now also be made via the app.

Overseas payment is available as well via the in-app Changi Pay wallet and is “now accepted at tens of millions of merchants across China,” the airport managing company says.

In conjunction with Changi App’s launch and to introduce travellers to the app’s most useful travel planning and flight tracking feature, CAG will be giving out four business class tickets to one lucky participant every month to destinations including New York, Fiji, and the Maldives.

Furthermore, Changi says there will also be many other attractive instant prizes such as retail vouchers, as well as travel and attractions tickets, to be won throughout the year.

Changi links Singapore to some 150 cities globally, with close to 100 airlines operating more than 6,400 weekly flights.

Changi handled 4.87 million passenger movements in September 2023. This was 89 per cent of the passenger movements in September 2019.

On a quarterly basis, Changi saw 15.3 million passenger movements from July to September 2023, also 89 per cent of what was registered for the third quarter of 2019.

On notable recent route developments, in the third quarter, China Eastern Airlines started inaugural service between Changi and Beijing Daxing, marking Changi’s first link to Beijing’s new airport.

Going forward, Singapore Airlines has confirmed a new route to Brussels, which will be the 16th nonstop service to Europe from Changi.
