The Royal Sonesta New Orleans is an iconic hotel located on the corner of Bourbon and Bienville streets in the French Quarter.

Walking into The Royal Sonesta New Orleans, we were greeted by marble flooring and a large bouquet of fresh flowers.

Deluxe standard king rooms, the first accommodations we visited, blend traditional and contemporary styles. Rooms come standard with a bevy of amenities, such as minifridges, coffee makers and flat-screen TVs.

An upgraded option, balcony suites allow guests to overlook Bourbon Street in the French Quarter. Each of the four bourbon balcony suites features wrought-iron lace balconies overlooking the happenings below.

Suites at The Royal Sonesta New Orleans include bathrooms with plush towels, slippers and robes, spa-quality bath amenities and a lighted makeup mirror.

Rounding out the lodging options, 38 rooms overlook the pool, and 13 of those rooms (including three suites and three parlors) offer direct access to the pool deck.
