Upon arriving at the hotel, guests are seated here to take in the view while an associate prepares check-in. Just below is the restaurant Cane & Canoe and the cascading Sunset Pool.

The artfully plated avocado tartine from Cane & Canoe is made with house-made bread, dukkah, local vegetables and black lava salt.

We walked by the top of the Sunset Pool, which cascades down two more levels. Poolside service is available from 11 a.m. to sunset.

The roped beams of Montage Kapalua Bay’s lobby resemble a canoe hale, which is fitting considering the restaurant right below is called Cane & Canoe.

The lower part of the Sunset Pool provides a spot where kids can frolic between the pool and the grassy knoll. Hana Hou Bar sits between the pool and the ocean for cocktails and lunch.

Walking down the path between Namalu Bay and Kapalua Bay, we arrived at this spot nestled among a group of trees. Here, you can sit and take in a view of Kapalua Bay.

Guests can enjoy a sauna, a whirlpool, a waterfall feature and more before and after their spa treatment. There’s also an infinity pool at the spa.

The lush grounds surround these special outdoor hales for an unforgettable spa treatment. The hales open on one side to a garden view.

Next up, we got to see the residences, which are designed to feel like a home away from home. They each feature a full kitchen, laundry facilities, a flat-screen TV and an outdoor living area.

The Paintbox space at Montage Kapalua Bay has an endless amount of fun for kids. Book half- or full-day sessions to keep your kids occupied with fun arts and crafts, as well as outdoor activities.
