Developed by acclaimed designer Michele Bönan, the lobby was made to feel like a living room, with comfortable sofas and armchairs, potted plants and art.

Marble statues we saw in public spaces throughout our tour give the hotel, which once served as an architecture school, a refined air.

We began our tour by exploring the hotel’s dining options. The cozy wood-paneled bar just off the lobby serves coffee and tea, as well as stronger drinks. Snacks are available all day.
4/11
The hotel’s restaurant, JKCafe, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
5/11
We were impressed by the design of JKCafe, which features bold colors, plush velvet banquettes and Sputnik-style chandeliers.

A lounge filled with Assouline books provides another space where guests can relax and enjoy tea or coffee.
7/11
The small lounge is just off the hotel’s main entrance.
8/11
Plush beds with monogrammed linens, photographs by Massimo Listri and sumptuous curtains are just some of the details that stood out to us in the rooms and suites.
9/11
Back outside the hotel, e-bikes are complimentary for guests staying in suites and can be rented by guests in lower-category rooms for a fee.

After our tour, we exited J.K. Place Roma on the corner of two quiet cobblestone streets in the heart of Rome’s historic center, just a few minutes from the Spanish Steps.
