Norse Atlantic Airways has launched direct services from London Gatwick to Los Angeles and San Francisco.
This marks the airline’s fifth and sixth US destinations from the London airport, with existing services to New York JFK, Washington DC, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
The two new routes will be followed by a seventh US service to Boston in September, followed by flights to Barbados, Kingston and Montego Bay this winter.
The daily LAX service departs Gatwick at 1035, arriving at 1410 the same day. The return service departs LAX at 1425 and arrives at 1100 the following day.
Three-times-weekly flights to SFO depart Gatwick at 1010, arriving at 1325 the same day. The return service departs SFO at 1525 and arrives at 0950 the following day.
Both services are operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, with economy fares starting from £460 return to Los Angeles (LAX) and £455 return to San Francisco (SFO).
Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO Norse Atlantic Airways, commented:
“Los Angeles and San Francisco have now become the fifth and sixth destinations to the US from our London base. With the addition of these two destinations Norse Atlantic is now the largest long haul operator to the US from London Gatwick. We are proud to offer an affordable and convenient way to explore these two iconic cities and experience the renowned sights and cultural landmarks that make each destination unique.”
Last month the carrier celebrated its first anniversary of transatlantic flights, with its inaugural operations between Oslo and New York JFK taking place on June 14, 2022.
